made to fly

Posted on Updated on

This is a yellow tailed black cockatoo in full flight captured over Look At Me Now Headland on the edge of Moonee Beach Nature Reserve on the New South Wales north coast, I love the way the tail feathers are spread out. It was a long way up and I only had time to point and shoot. Its been cropped right down so the details are not as clear as I would like but the silhouette and tail spread make it worth sharing. You can see up close photos of these birds on the posts these banksia are yummy, my latest obsession and the kings of the coast or if you like birds in general you can check out my bird posts by following the tab ‘birds’ at the top of my homepage.
