This Eastern Rosella came back to feed on the same patch of weeds it was visiting a few weeks ago. Rosellas are colourful broad-tailed parrots with distinctive cheek patches. They flit about so quickly it is difficult to capture them and I am sure this one was deliberately hiding amoung the foliage as it gave me a really cheeky stare when I sighed out loud with exasperation at my attempts to photograph it. The golden-mantle is a feature of the New South Wales variety and other types have a red, yellow, green or orange mantle with blue or orange cheek patches, all very colourful and pretty.

They are beautiful, it must be how I captured him as they are sweet birds. Thanks for visiting.
