With the way his feathers are ruffled he looks like a Star Wars character.
Your Mynah birds look a bit different to ours. I’ll have to try photographing one. This is a great photo
We also have the Common Myna which is brown with yellow feet, beak and eye ring. Perhapes that is the bird you have? My bird book classifies them under Starlings. There was an article in today’s paper calling them Indian Mynas .. they were introduced here in the 1860’s and are quite destructive to the native birds. Tx for you visit and interest!
Yes, it is the common Mynah from India – definitely destructive to native birds. In Rarotonga they have virtually wiped out all the coastal native birds. I am not keen on them at all
