ocean roo

I thought this kangaroo looked rather lovely set against the Pacific Ocean. Moonee Beach Nature Reserve on the north coast of NSW Australia is home to many kangaroos and wallabies that enjoy ocean views and dips in the salty brine. The reserve offers visitors long beach walks, surfing and swimming spots, headland walks, bush trails and birding opportunities.

My brother would have loved your pictures of kangaroos. One year all he wanted for Christmas was a kangaroo…he was a disappointed little boy Christmas morning.

Beautiful shot. Both the lighting and the background are spectacular.

A beautiful photo and love the Pacific backdrop – is that usual for Roos? Aren’t they generally found more inland?

they live all over – except the big cities of course
this was taken in a nearby nature reserve that comprises a coastal strip and this place is a headland that juts out into the sea, kangaroos will even go for a swim in the ocean on occassion, not right in but a good splash around
