black-shouldered kite

Though taken at a great distance and not a great capture I am including this photo of a Black-Shouldered Kite at Look At Me Now Headland, Emerald Beach as it is the first time I have seen it since last year when I posted shots here. While I try to post good pics the blog was set up to function as an archive of birds/animals I have sighted and provide  me a way of tracking and monitoring their movements. Now I have lived in this house for a year I am beginning to see the patterns of local birds and it is great to see the return of this lovely small hawk.
